Cardiac MRI reference values for athletes and nonathletes corrected for body surface area, training hours/week and sex

Young (18 -35 years old) Male Left Ventricular (LV) End-Diastolic Volumes (EDV ml) corrected for Body Surface Area (BSA m^2)

Mean +/- standard deviation (SD) and 95th percentile

Young (18 -35 years old) Female Left Ventricular (LV) End-Diastolic Volumes (EDV ml) corrected for Body Surface Area (BSA m^2)

Mean +/- standard deviation (SD) and 95th percentile

Young (18 -35 years old) Male Right Ventricular (RV) End-Diastolic Volumes (EDV ml) corrected for Body Surface Area (BSA m^2)

Mean +/- standard deviation (SD) and 95th percentile

Young (18 -35 years old) Female Right Ventricular (RV) End-Diastolic Volumes (EDV ml) corrected for Body Surface Area (BSA m^2)

Please note mean +2 SD holds only in a perfect normal distribution

Young (18 -35 years old) Female Left Ventricular (LV) Mass (g) corrected for Body Surface Area (BSA m^2)
Mean +/- standard deviation (SD) and 95th percentile

Please first calculate the body surface area from subject length and weight according to the Dubois and Dubois formula and then divide the subject EDV and Wall-mass by the BSA to correct for it.
